Lovelandtown Gate is Closed!
Unfortunately the access from the east end of Howe Street to Grove Street in Bay Head has been
closed off by the new owner of the property at 200 Howe Street and a neighbor. The access, which has been open for about
150 years, is used by many pedestrians because it is much safer than Bridge Avenue when travelling to Bay Head, either to
the businesses or the beach.
The gate and boardwalk, built by several residents and the former owner of 200 Howe St., are
not blocked or locked but probably will be sooner or later.
